Worked in the Research Institute of Construction Physics for 15 years. From 1977 to 1985 was the Head of the Laboratory of Microclimate and Heat Insulation of Buildings.
1983 - awarded with the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. Since 1985 - Moscow Architecture Institute, Head of the Department of Engineering Equipment of Buildings and Constructions.
1985 - awarded with the title of Professor. Since 1990 - President of non-commercial partnership “Engineers of Heating Systems, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Heat Supply and Construction Thermal Physics” (NP “AVOK”). Since 1990 - Editor in Chief of the professional journals “Heating Systems, Ventilation, Air Conditioning” and “Energy Efficiency”.
Author of more than 500 scientific papers, 7 monographs.
Member of the International Academy of Indoor Air Quality, Fellow Member of the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations (REHVA), of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), of the International Ecoenergy Academy of Azerbaijan (MEA) and was awarded with its Golden Medal.
