After graduating from NSU in 1972, he worked as an intern researcher at NSU, then worked as a research scientist at the Institute of Hydrodynamics of SB RAS.
In 1981 he defended his thesis on physical and mathematical sciences (specialty 01.02.04).
1983- present - lecturer at The Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (SIBSTRIN)
1994 - present - Head of Department of Higher Mathematics. In 2001 he defended his doctoral thesis on the specialty 05.23.01.
His scientific interests are in the field of deformable solid body mechanics, strength and crack resistance of structures.
