Tatiana Prokofieva graduated from the faculty of architecture of the Kazan Institute of Civil Engineering in 1981. From 1983 toill 1991 she worked in the department of master plan of the Institute "Kazgrazhdanproekt". In 1992 he went on an exchange program for long-term training in the US, where in six months she was employed by one of the private companies. In 1999, the architect was invited to work in the international corporation «NBBJ». Working in th corporation, Tatiana Prokofieva had projects in the US, China, Taiwan, Qatar, and in 2002 he became curator of projects in Russia and the CIS.
Over 15 years in the United States Tatiana Prokofieva participated in 30 major architectural projects, including: The master plan of residential area of Windsor (United States, Columbus), a residential complex "Chang-Yin" (China, Beijing), National Research Institute of Taiwan (Taipei), Medical Center Hamad (Qatar, Doha), "Dushanbe" hotel (Tajikistan, Dushanbe). In Russian Tatiana Prokofieva vas involved in the project of construction of the Moscow Medical Center on Krylatskie Kholmy, Multifunctional business center “Serebryany gorod” on Zemlyanoy val, multifunctional complex on Tsvetnoy Boulevard "Legend of Tsvetnoy". In 2007 she started working on the project of development of the right bank of the river Kazanka as a member of NBBJ Company working group.
June 29, 2007 she was appointed as advisor in charge of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Head of the municipality of Kazan.
Since October 2009 she is a Chief Architect of Kazan.
She is a member of the US Union of Architects (1995) and the Union of Architects of Russia (2003)
