He has two higher professional educations - a Diploma with Honors with major “Engineer of Gardens, Parks and Landscape Construction”, Bachelor degree in jurisprudence and Master degree Diploma with Honors with major “Cultural Heritage Reconstruction and Restoration”.
Since 2002 until the present day, he has been working at the Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Historic and Cultural Monuments of the St. Petersburg Government.
He is an active researcher and popularizer in such spheres as conservation and restoration of historic landscape architecture and garden design objects, historic environment conservation in cities and in St. Petersburg in particular, preservation of world cultural heritage.
In the Committee, he also supervises the issues of preservation and use of historic hydraulic structures and those of popularizing cultural heritage preservation among young people (schoolchildren and students).
His research interests also include preservation of intangible heritage.
He is a member of ICOMOS (International Council on Monuments and Sites).
