Adam Cowlard

Adam Cowlard is a Researcher at the BRE Centre for Fire Safety Engineering at the University of Edinburgh and a Coordinator of the project ‘Real Fires for the Safe Design of Tall Buildings’.

His research is wide ranging including topics such as sensor driven modelling for fire response planning, risk indices for information driven forest fire response, and fire safety strategies and performance based design for unique infrastructures such as tall buildings, heritage buildings and spacecraft. He is the recipient of a 2010/2011 AXA Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship. He is a member of a European Space Agency Topical Team looking at improving methods for provision of fire safety in spacecraft and space infrastructure
