1. TERMS AND DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Regulations, the following terms and definitions will be used:
1.1. 100+ TechnoBuild – International Construction Forum And Expo held in IEC Ekaterinburg-EXPO (620060, Russia, Yekaterinburg, EXPO-Boulevard, h/2);
1.2. 100+ Awards (hereinafter referred to as Awards) – an annual event founded in 2021 with the goal of recognizing specialists and creative teams who contribute substantially to the development of architecture and civil engineering, as well as to design and development of permanent construction in Russia. The Awards ceremony date is to coincide with the effective dates of 100+ TechnoBuild;
1.3. Organizers – OOO Orgkomitet Stroitel and The Guild of Builders of Urals: entities established and operating in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation;
1.4. Applicant – an individual, or a creative team, who submitted their Awards entry and meets the requirements defined in these Regulations;
1.5. Project – object, invention and/or technology submitted by an Applicant in order to participate in the Awards in compliance with the requirements stated in these Regulations;
1.6. Application Form – a form for Applicants to fill in order to submit their entry. The form is available on the website Forum-100.ru in the Awards tab;
1.7. Jury – experts in construction from Russia and other countries, representatives of specialized government bodies and local government, all of whom are invited by Organizers in order to give their evaluation of the Projects and select the Award Winners. The work of the Jury is done on pro bono basis;
1.8. Expert Council – construction specialists recognized in Russia and globally who are invited by Organizers to select award-nominated Applicants. Members of the Expert Council may also participate as Jury members. The work of the Expert Council is done on pro bono basis.
1.9. Winner – individual/team whose Project was recognized by the Jury as the best in its respective nomination.
1.10. Nominee – an Applicant in any of the award nominations whose Project was deemed eligible by the Expert Council for further evaluation by the Jury.
2. GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
2.1. Awards were established at the initiative of OOO Orgkomitet Stroitel – operator of 100+ TechnoBuild – and The Guild of builders of Urals with the goal of identifying the best buildings, structures and technologies in Russia which embody principles of the conscious approach to construction: unique architectural and structural solutions, comfort, transparency of processes, ecological and social responsibility. Awards are given to projects which make significant contributions to the development of construction by means of implementing cutting-edge solutions in engineering, design and architecture.
2.2. Awards are given to construction experts from Russia or abroad, including creative teams and entities operating in the construction industry, design firms, scientific establishments and educational establishments carrying out their projects in Russia. The list of nominations goes as follows:
1. Best Architectural Solution:
– Residential Building;
– Non-Residential Unique Building.
2. Best Engineering Solution of a Building Project.
3. Best Structural Solution:
– Residential Building;
– Non-Residential Unique Building.
4. Best Green Building Object.
5. Best BIM-Model of a Building.
6. Best Solution In Creation Of Comfortable Urban Environment.
7. Best Innovative Solution:
– Materials;
– Technologies;
– IT Solution.
8. Best Interior Design Project:
– Public Space;
– Apartment up to 50 sq. meters;
– Apartment from 50 to 100 sq. meters;
– Apartment from 100 sq. meters and bigger.
2.3. Organizers shall come up with the concept of the Awards as well as approve the budget and establish visuals, list of nominations, requirements for Applicants, formats of documents.
2.4. Organizers shall determine who will be the members of the Expert Council and the Jury. Organizers develop and approve procedural rules for the Expert Council and the Jury. Once the Jury and the Expert Council have voted, Organizers shall form the final protocol.
2.5. Winners are given diplomas and medals. There are no monetary rewards for winners.
3. REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS
3.1. In case a creative team (design studio, architecture studio, temporary creative team etc.) submits an entry to Awards, the team must appoint a person who will act as the representative of the team's interests in their interactions with Organizers. The team is an Applicant in this scenario.
3.2. By submitting their entry, all Applicants accept these Regulations unconditionally to be able to participate in the Awards.
3.3. Participation in the Awards is free of charge. Applicants incur all expenses associated with their participation in the Awards, including but not limited to: Project composition expenses and sending the Project to Organizers, expenses associated with participation in the Awards ceremony, transport expenses (for Applicants and Winners residing outside of Yekaterinburg), living expenses, food expenses and any other expenses associated with their participation in the Awards.
4. PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
4.1. In order to participate in the Awards in 2022, a Project has to have been put into service no earlier than December 2018. In case of the nomination Best BIM-Model, a Project has to have received its expert's project documentation review no earlier than December 2018, in case of the nomination Best Interior Design Project, a Project has to be implementedno earlier than December 2018. All Projects have to have been created by Applicants who meet the requirements stated in Section 3 of these Regulations.
4.2. To participate in the Awards, a Project has to have been completed on the territory of the Russian Federation (regardless of an Applicant's citizenship, place of residency or current location).
4.3. An Applicant has a right to submit their Project for participation in one of the following nominations:
4.3.1. Best Architectural Solution:
– Residential Building: a completed one or one still in the implementation phase of either a comprehensive project or a residential real estate object with more than 5 storeys;
– Non-Residential Unique, Building: a completed one or one still in the implementation phase of either a comprehensive project or a non-residential real estate object that meets the requirements of Article 48.1 Paragraph 2 of Urban Development Code of the Russian Federation or if a project documentation was developed using Special Specifications.
4.3.2. Best Engineering Solution of a Building Project:
engineering and technology solutions in a completed object or one still in the implementation phase of a project.
4.3.3. Best Structural Solution:
– Residential Building: structural, engineering and technical solutions in a completed building or one still in the implementation phase of either a comprehensive project or a residential real estate object with more than 5 storeys. These solutions include floor configurations established during structural calculations as well as their individual structural elements, units and details used when manufacturing, transporting, erecting and utilizing an object of capital construction, including structural and technical solutions for the underground part of an object of capital construction;
– Non-Residential Unique, Building: structural solutions in a completed building or one still in the implementation phase of either a comprehensive project or a non-residential real estate object that meets the requirements of Article 48.1 Paragraph 2 of Urban Development Code of the Russian Federation or if a project documentation was developed using Special Specifications. These solutions include floor configurations established during structural calculations as well as their individual structural elements, units and details used when manufacturing, transporting, erecting and utilizing an object of capital construction, including structural and technical solutions for the underground part of an object of capital construction.
4.3.4. Best Green Building Object:
– A completed comprehensive project or or one still in the implementation phase of a capital construction project (either residential or non-residential real estate), which includes measures to improve resource efficiency (materials, land, time, energy, water etc.) as well as measures to lower negative impact of the project on the environment and measures to use renewable resources, recycle waste at the stage of designing, building and exploitation of the project.
4.3.5. Best BIM-Model of a Building:
– Residential or Non-residential Building: information model of a residential capital construction object with more than 5 storeys or information model of a non-residential capital construction object at the stage of design.
4.3.6. Best Solution In Creation Of Comfortable Urban Environment:
– Comprehensive project of territory development, including individual elements of improving public spaces and/or of landscape design.
4.3.7. Best Innovative Solution:
– Materials: construction materials intended for use at the stages of building above-ground and underground structural parts of a building, exterior and interior finishes of an object as well as design and installation of engineering systems and building envelope;
– Technologies: approaches to building capital construction objects or to object maintenance during its exploitation;
– IT solution: information technologies that allow introducing new services, automating design, construction or maintenance of capital construction projects processes.
4.3.8. Best Interior Design Project:
– Public Space: design project of a public facility at residential or non-residential property;
– Apartment up to 50 sq. meters: design project of a separate placing with a total area up to 50 sq. meters in residential building or apartment complex, intended for habitation of people;
– Apartment from 50 to 100 sq. meters: design project of a separate placing with a total area from 50 to 100 sq. meters in residential building or apartment complex, intended for habitation of people;
– Apartment from 100 sq. meters and bigger: design project of a separate placing with a total area of more than 100 sq. meters in residential building or apartment complex, intended for habitation of people.
4.4. Organizers reserve their right to make changes and/or additions to the list of nominations of the Awards as well as their names and contents.
4.5. Organizers reserve their right to change in what nomination the Project of an Applicant participates. Organizers must inform the Applicant in case such a change is made. The Applicant has the right to send an objection to such a change to Organizers. In case an objection is made, the matter is to be resolved by the Expert Council. In case Applicant does not agree with the decision of the Expert Council about changes in nomination, their Project is withdrawn from participation in the Awards.
5. ENTRY SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
5.1. Registration of Applicants proceeds through filling out the Application Form which can be found on the website Forum-100.ru on the Internet. Application Form is located in the Awards tab of the website.
5.2. Project, which an Applicant chose to submit for the Awards, is to be uploaded by the Applicant while they fill out the form. The Project has to be submitted in .PDF format with an additional text description.
5.3. Applicants are responsible for ensuring accuracy of information and documents provided to Organizers in their filled-out Application Form.
5.4. By submitting their application, Applicant confirms that they read these Regulations, accepted the present conditions and must abide by them unconditionally. Applicant also bears all negative consequences of failure to comply with these Regulations.
6. DATES OF THE AWARDS
6.1. Awards are held from March 1, 2022 to October 21, 2022 (the closing date can be changed in accordance with the dates of 100+ TechnoBuild).
6.2. Awards stages:
6.2.1. March 1, 2021 to May 15, 2022 – entries submission period;
6.2.2. May 15, 2022 to July 30, 2022 – applications are checked against the respective requirements of these Regulations by Organizers and reviewed by Expert Council, the list of award nominees is formed, the final list of nominees is presented for consideration by Jury;
6.2.3. July 15, 2022 to September 15, 2022 – Awards Winners are determined by Jury;
6.2.4. October 18-21, 2022 – awards ceremony for Award Winners during 100+ TechnoBuild.
6.3. In cases of force majeure or any other causes during the dates of the Awards that make it impossible to act in accordance with Subclause 6.2 of the present Regulations, Organizers reserve the right to change the dates and/or format of the Awards, or terminate the event, in which case Applicants receive notices via email to addresses which Applicants stated in their Application Form. In case of this scenario, no Award Winners are determined, and no awards ceremony is held.
7. PROJECT EVALUATION CRITERIA
7.1. In order to establish Award Winners, in accordance with Section 8 of the present Regulations, evaluation of Projects submitted by Applicants is conducted through the lens of the following criteria:
7.1.1. Best Architectural Solution.
Residential Building:
– architectural and planning solution (function planning and space planning solutions);
– architectural and artistic solution (volumetric-spatial solution, facade arrangement, artistic image);
– innovation in architectural and engineering/technical solutions, materials, technologies, energy-efficiency, ecology;
– social and economical viability.
Non-Residential Unique Building:
– architectural and planning solution (function planning and space planning solutions);
– architectural and artistic solution (volumetric-spatial solution, facade arrangement, artistic image);
– innovation in architectural and engineering/technical solutions, materials, technologies, energy-efficiency, ecology;
– social and economical viability.
7.1.2. Best Engineering Solution of a Building Project:
– quality of utility systems in the object;
– level of energy conservation;
– utilization of renewable energy resources;
– unique layout ideas and innovative solutions.
7.1.3. Best Structural Solution.
Residential Building:
– reliability and security of horizontal and vertical structures of the building;
– technical viability of implementing materials and technologies in creation of horizontal and vertical structures of the building;
– efficiency in implementing a complex architectural idea;
– economical benefits of implementing a structural solution.
Non-Residential Unique Building:
– reliability and security of horizontal and vertical structures of the building;
– technical viability of implementing materials and technologies in creation of horizontal and vertical structures of the building;
– efficiency in implementing a complex architectural idea;
– economical benefits of implementing a structural solution.
7.1.4. Best Green Building Object:
– level of primary resources consumption (energy, water, materials, equipment) per 1 sq.m. of space of the object;
– level of waste generation per 1 sq.m. of space of the object;
– presence of infrastructure intended for users of ecologically friendly transport (electric cars, electric scooters, bicycles)
– implementation of unique and innovative solutions which lower effects on the environment
7.1.5. Best BIM-Model of a Building:
– compliance of the model with design specifications (relating to informational modelling) or EIR;
– BIM-Model complexity. A model with more design specifications in it receives more points;
– number of scenarios used while working with the model (BIM USES);
– geometrical accuracy of the model: presence or absence of collisions, duplication of objects etc.
7.1.6. Best Solution In Creation Of Comfortable Urban Environment:
– level of architectural and landscape identity of the territory;
– level of detail in architectural and planning solutions;
– solutions related to transport and pedestrian accessibility;
– impact on territory development;
– viability, feasibility and usability of suggested solutions;
– availability and attractiveness for all social groups.
7.1.7. Best Innovative Solution.
Materials:
– shortening of required construction time;
– improvement of quality and safety of the object;
– economical effect at the stages of construction and exploitation;
– possibility of localization for production and/or construction;
– diminishing of the object's carbon footprint.
Technologies:
– shortening of required construction time;
– improvement of quality and safety of the object;
– economical effect at the stages of construction and exploitation;
– possibility of localization for production and/or construction;
– diminishing of the object's carbon footprint.
IT Solution:
– shortening of required design and construction time;
– improvement of quality and safety of the object;
– economical effect at the stages of design, construction and exploitation;
– possibility of localization for production and/or construction;
– diminishing of the object's carbon footprint.
7.1.8. Best Interior Design Project (Public Space; Apartment up to 50 sq. meters; Apartment from 50 to 100 sq. meters; Apartment from 100 sq. meters and bigger):
– architectural and planning solution (function planning and space planning solutions);
– compositional and stylistic unity;
– design quality (including aesthetics of forms, texture, garniture, graphic communication, color and color options, materials, relevance to the target segment, usability, etc.);
– engineering quality (including functionality, ergonomics, usability, simplicity and efficiency of production, cost effectiveness, technological availability, safety, resource capacity, stability, durability);
– innovation of the design solution of the project.
7.2. Organizers and Jury don't have any obligation to explain their decisions to Applicants in relation to the evaluation of a Project submitted by an Applicant.
8. DECISION MAKING PROCEDURE
8.1. Award nominees are determined by Expert Council. Expert Council members vote on the matter with the help of remote access technology. No physical meeting of Expert Council is held.
Projects in each nomination are evaluated by a council of minimum 5 members of Expert Council, the panel of which is determined by Organizers.
8.2. Expert Council members establish whether an Applicant meets the requirements of Subsection 1.4 and Section 3 of the present Regulations as well as whether entries of Applicants meet the requirements of nomination contents established in Subsection 4.3 of the present Regulations.
8.3. Expert Council members have the right to recommend specialists and/or creative teams to be included in the list of nominees. In such a case, Organizers contact said specialists and/or creative teams and offer them to submit their entry as Applicants for the Awards. In this scenario, entry submission extends beyond the dates stated in Subsection 6.2.1 of the present Regulations, but no later than the end of entry submission stage and the appearance of the nominees list.
8.4. Award Winners are chosen from the list of nominees presented by Expert Council. Jury votes on who becomes a winner with the help of remote access technology. No physical meeting of Jury is held.
8.5. Organizers forward to the Jury all materials submitted by Applicants in order for Jury to make a decision. In order to come to a decision, Jury make their decision by scoring each project according to the criteria stated in Subsection 7.1 of the present Regulations.
8.6. Organizers reserve the right to exclude from participation (not toapprove for the Jury scoring) a project that has won 100+ Awards at the same nomination in 2021.
8.7. In case several Applicants receive the same number of points after the Jury has voted, the final decision on an Award Winner is made by Organizers.
8.8. Jury and Organizers have the right to come to a joint decision, which may result in awarding several Applicants in one nomination or in making no one an Award Winner in a nomination.
8.9. Awards ceremony is going to be held during the dates of 100+ TechnoBuild. Ceremony will be held in the form of a gala evening.
Organizers provide Nominees in advance with information on date, time and location of the ceremony via email.
8.10. Awards and their properties are determined solely by Organizers and cannot be altered by any 3rd party request.
9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
9.1. By submitting their entries for the Awards, Applicants guarantee that, at the moment of submitting their entry to Organizers, they are the owner of exclusive rights to all respective Projects and own all rights required to use the Project as a result of intellectual activity as well as accept and follow all conditions of the present Regulations without exception. In case an Applicant submits a co-authored Project, or a Project whose author is not the Applicant, or a Project exclusive rights to which are partially or fully owned by a third party, the Applicant must receive all consent necessary to be able to submit the Project to Organizers in order to participate in the Awards as an Applicant. The Applicant must also come to an agreement with any other owners of the exclusive rights to any part of the Project or the Project as a whole, in accordance with conditions of the present Regulations.
Applicant agrees to provide at the request of Organizer withing 5 days a written confirmation of having rights to use the Project, as well as the authority to dispose these rights with supporting documents, including the consents of third parties.
Applicant agrees to resolve, at their own discretion and expense, all possible demands, accusations and lawsuits from a third party in relation to violation of rights to use the Project as a result of intellectual activity.
In case the Applicant does not conform to the requirements of this section, violates the rights of third parties and it results in Organizers suffering damages, the Applicant must pay such damages in full within 10 days of reception of the request from Organizers.
9.2. Applicants give Organizers the right to use their submitted Projects on the basis of non-exclusive license in any of the ways imposed by Article 1270 Item 2 of Civil Code of the Russian Federation, including posting in a media and on the Internet, with the right of sublicensing.
9.3. Organizers have the right to use Projects on a worldwide basis for the entire term of exclusive rights for the Project starting from the moment of providing the rights to use the Project to Organizers, without any license fees and reports. Rights to use the Project are provided at the moment of Organizers having received the Project in accordance with Subsection 5.2 of the present Regulations and are not dependent on results of Project evaluation during the Awards procedures.
