The Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation has approved the dates for our international construction forum and exhibition in Yekaterinburg
The 2020 VII International Forum and Exhibition 100+ TechnoBuild will take place on October 6-8 in the Ekaterinburg-EXPO international exhibition center. The dates were agreed upon by the organising committee of the forum led by the Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Vladimir Yakushev.
"A major construction forum and exhibition in Yekaterinburg organised with the support of the Ministry of Construction has proven to be a great platform for discussions of relevant topics related to the development of the construction industry and urban development among members of this professional community. It has also shown its value as a platform to exchange experience of implementing the best global practices. We put strong emphasis on implementations of informational modeling at each stage of construction process as well as on Smart Cities development", says the minister.
Business program of the forum is currently being formed. The program will include 90 events, among which are six one-day forums. 350 speakers, both from Russia and other countries, have been invited to participate. Invitations have also been extended to the heads of all regions of Russia as well as mayors of cities with more than 100 000 citizens.
Several major global experts have already confirmed their participation in the business program. Martin Gran, Partner at Snøhetta, Managing Director at Snøhetta Design. Snøhetta, a Norwegian architectural bureau, is a renowned leader in the field of energy-efficient projects. Architects of the bureau are the authors of Powerhouse Brattørkaia in Trondheim (Norway) – an office building whose energy production level is twice as high as its energy consumption level. The bureau's portfolio also includes a design competition project for integrated development of social spaces and housing on Vasilyevsky Island in Saint-Petersburg and the Hussein Ibn Talal Park in Grozny.
Gil Penalosa, an expert in comfortable social spaces development, special representative of World Urban Parks – an association that deals with matters of organizing urban parks, social spaces and recreational spaces.
Ma Yansong, architect and founder of the MAD bureau, promotes a new approach to architecture. His company is involved mainly in urban development projects.
The exhibition will feature technology, innovative inventions, equipment and unique construction methods presented by leading Russian and global companies: BASF (Germany), Uponor and Peikko (Finland), Kermi, OTIS Elevator Company (Russia), Chelyabinsk elevator production plant Witchel. The Urban Infrastructure subtheme will feature the Svet Ulits product line – illumination systems and products for street amelioration – made by the Novouralskiy metalworks plant.
100+ TechnoBuild is an area-specific international forum and exhibition dedicated to design, construction, financial support and exploitation of high-rise and unique constructions of any purpose as well as matters related to architecture, urban construction, energy efficiency, comfortable urban environment and its improvement. 100+ TechnoBuild features two events: 100+ Forum Russia – a construction forum – and 100+ Urban Technology – a construction innovations exhibition.
In 2019, the forum was held together with a celebration of World Cities Day and attracted 10757 participants from 33 countries. It included 80 business sections as well as speeches given by 336 speakers. 100+ Urban Technology exhibition featured 122 exhibitors from 10 countries, 11 regions and 18 cities of Russia.
