In preparation for the second BIM-Technologies forum that will be a part of 100+ Forum Russia and will take place on October, 29, a seminar was held in Yekaterinburg on June, 11. The topic of discussion was: BIM-Technologies in Construction Industry. Experience of the Past and Future Possibilities for Application. The discussion was organized by the Self-Regulation Organization «Guild of Ural Builders». The meeting started with an introductory speech from Vyacheslav Trapeznikov, President of the Association. During the seminar, the following questions were discussed: "Why design in BIM?", "The way design engineers change images of cities", "Case studies of BIM integration into construction operations".
The topic that brought out the most interest from the audience was that of practical uses of BIM in creating classifiers and construction site works. There was a general shift in relevant topics for discussions about BIM: instead of the topic of the necessity of integration there are now practical tasks and details when working with models.
The discussion involved 160 experts from Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Perm and Omsk. This seminar was the third in line of educational events organized by the Association in 2019.
