LAKHTA CENTER TOWER FACADE OF THE BUILDING WILL BE MADE OF UNIQUE COLD-FORMED GLASS
In October, an object section dedicated to the construction of the Lakhta Center in St. Petersburg will take place within the framework of 100+ Forum. Leading experts of the company "Inforsproekt" - General Director Alexei Shakhvorostov and head of the department of metal structures Alexander Timofeyevich will tell about the peculiarities of the construction of steel and composite structures of high-rise tower Lakhta Center (the design height is 462 m). Reports on unique enclosure structures made of cold-forming glass and the monitoring of high-rise buildings during construction will also be presented.

"Lakhta Center" is a multifunctional public and business center, the core of which will be the headquarters of Gazprom Group companies. More than half of the space will be allocated for public functions: research and education center, a planetarium, exhibition spaces, a medical center, a multipurpose meeting hall for congresses, conferences, theater performances, music and costumed performances, sports center, an outdoor amphitheater and a number of public services, including a bank office, shops, restaurants, cafes, etc. Total area of the buildings will be 400 thousand m2. It is planned to finish complex construction in 2018.
Current works at the object:
- Construction of the core floors on the second outrigger level (35-39 floors).
- Installation of metal structures of thirtieth floors (floors 30-34).
- Works on the stylobate of the building complex.
- Works related to metal structures of multifunctional building (floors 2-6).
