100+ Forum Russia: Day 1
October 29 marked the opening of VI International Forum for High-rise and Special Constructions 100+ Forum Russia as well as the opening of the exposition 100+ Technologies for Cities. According to the data from the official website, the total number of registrations for the events reached 8600. Statistic also shows that Day 1 of the events saw more than 2000 participants and attendees present at the venue simultaneously.
The formal opening included participation by First Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Federal Structure, Regional Policy, Local Government and Northern Affairs Arkadiy Chernetsky, Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volkov and Minister of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Mikhail Volkov.
In the words of Arkadiy Chernetsky, quoted by TASS: "This exposition becomes bigger each year, with growing numbers in exposition participants, their range of presented items, projects and technologies. We are wholeheartedly proud that the exposition is able to take up increasingly more space that this exposition center provides. Our goal, set by the governor of the region and the Ministry of Construction, is to grow this Ekaterinburg-based platform into a kind of INNOPROM, but in the area of construction".
Exposition of innovational technologies and construction materials 100+ Urban Technology takes place in Pavilion №1 of Ekaterinburg-EXPO, with 122 exhibitors from 10 countries, 11 regions and 18 cities of Russia. The list of participants includes global leaders in the area of technology development and materials development as well as those from Russia: Schneider Electric, OTIS, Knauf, 1C, Ростех, JCB, Palfinger, Krylov State Research Center, Mostostroy-11 and others.
Dmitry Volkov took part in an open discussion by NOSTROI association titled Reliability and Safety in Construction. "Our plan is to put in place a new catalog of regulatory and technical documentation. It's going to be set up in such a way that will allow us to resolve all inconsistencies that appear when a complete set of documents needed for an inspection is put in it. This is where we would appreciate your assistance as experts. We have to make everything convenient for the client. This is an undertaking to be completed together and, in this sense, I put a lot of my hope in the newly established technical committee, NOSTROI", – said Deputy Minister.
A major point of interest for delegates at 100+ Forum Russia was the Russian BIM-Technology Forum, which started off with a pitch session by BIM-vendors. Experts discussed the topics of: standards of working in BIM, modern technology of informational modelling and global trends in digitalization of construction.
Vyacheslav Trapeznikov, President of SRO Builders Association of the Urals – one of the organizers of the forum, was the moderator for one of the BIM-sessions.
Day 1 also saw a number of other events, such as: Engineering Cities of the Future (conference), Wooden Constructions in Cities of the Future, Water Supply Systems and Internal Fire Prevention Systems (workshop) and others.
