100+ CONCEPT CLAUSURA: creative energy of young architects will help us look at EXPO 2025
On October 6, the 100+ CONCEPT CLAUSURA competition for the best architectural and artistic concept of a high-rise multifunctional center located within the boundaries of the territory of the prospective development of Yekaterinburg EXPO 2025 will be held at the Education International Forum of high-rise and unique construction 100+ Forum Russia in the Yekaterinburg-EXPO IEC.
The participants of the competition will create an architectural concept of a high-rise multifunctional complex at the end of Tatishcheva Street in Yekaterinburg as part of the concept of building the territory of the international exhibition EXPO 2025.
The main task of the contestants is to find the figurative component of the concept, to display it in the orthogonals of the main projections, or in a perspective image; to identify the necessary list of "programmatic" semantic and formative components; to display an integral functional system of interrelations. Participants will receive a full task on the functionality of the high-rise complex immediately before the start of the competition on October 6, 2017.
Students and postgraduates of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions studying in the fields of architecture, design, and urban planning can take part in the competition. To participate in the 100+ CONCEPT CLAUSURA competition, you need to assemble a team of 2-4 people.
Applications for registration for the competition must be sent by October 1, 2017, by e-mail: clauzura2017@mail.ru (application form).
On October 6, on the day of the 100+ CONCEPT CLAUSURA competition, registration of teams will begin at 09.00 and participants will receive a full technical assignment for design. The time to complete the work is from 10.00 to 14.00. The presentation of design solutions by groups (BATTLE) and the work of the jury is from 14.00 to 16.00. The results will be announced at 4.30 pm and the winners will be awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts (I, II and III places) immediately.
The competition committee will evaluate the projects according to the main criteria:
- Professionalism, the ability to creatively comprehend the tasks and goals of the competition;
- Matching the project concept to a given topic;
- Compositional and artistic unity, the integrity of the overall solution;
- Economic feasibility;
- Reasoned choice of technological and aesthetic advantages of the materials used in the context of the overall spatial composition;
- Innovation of architectural thinking, non-standard design solutions, search for new forms;
- Relationship with the environment, perception of space;
- Safety of use.
