Vladislav Zaalishvili
Background
Doctor of Physico-mathematical Sciences, Professor. He received a higher academic education.
Vladislav Borisovich created a scientific direction in the form of assessing the seismic hazard of a territory based on taking into account the nonlinear properties of rocks by powerful non-explosive sources. For the first time, he introduced simple and effective motion indicators in the form of areas of normalized and real oscillation spectra that determine the absorption and nonlinearity of the medium, the universality of which led to their widespread use in practice, introduced the concepts of a weighted average period of oscillation and He has developed a number of modern technologies for assessing the seismic hazard of soils and rocks that have no analogues in the world, proposed a new instrumental calculation method for seismic microdistricting, and is developing a scientific school of engineering seismology in Georgia, the North Caucasus, and Russia. He is a graduate of the Georgian and Russian scientific schools of engineering seismology, a student of S.G. Napetvaridze (ISMIS of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR) and A.V. Nikolaev (O.Y.Schmidt Institute of Physics and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences).
Vladislav Borisovich is actively engaged in scientific, scientific, organizational and pedagogical activities. He is the author of 830 published works, including 25 scientific monographs, textbooks, 75 patents, 14 databases, 11 computer programs. Under his leadership, 12 PhD theses (4 in Georgia) were defended in the field of earthquake-resistant construction, seismic risk, geophysics, and geoecology. In 2005, he developed with D.A. Melkov a new computational and instrumental method of seismic microdistricting. In 2006, he took an active part in assessing the condition of buildings in Grozny, damaged as a result of military operations. He led and participated in the seismic microdistricting (SMR) of the territories of a number of cities and responsible structures in Georgia and Azerbaijan. In 2010, he led the creation of a map of the detailed seismic zoning (DSR) of the territory of North Ossetia.
Vladislav Borisovich is the head of the Department of Geophysics and Geoinformatics of the K.L. Khetagurov North Ossetian State University, editor-in-chief of the journal "Geology and Geophysics of Southern Russia, included in the Scopus database and the list of Higher Attestation Commission.
