Graduated from Rostov State University with a degree in mechanics.
Scientist, teacher, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Professor, Head of the MARCHI Department, editor-in-chief of the AVOK magazine and Deputy editor-in-chief of the Energy Saving magazine.
From 1990 to the present, he has been the President of NP AVOK (non–profit partnership Engineers in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, Heat Supply and Construction Thermophysics).
The main areas of scientific activity are mathematical modeling of the thermal regime of buildings; development of regulatory documents; experimental studies of the thermal regime of buildings in extreme climatic conditions.
