Background
Alexander Gennadievich was born in Sverdlovsk on September 24, 1973. In 1996, he graduated from the Ural Academy of Public Administration with a degree in Public and Municipal Administration. In 1999, Alexander Gennadievich completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation in Moscow. Since 1999, he has been a Candidate of Economic Sciences.
Alexander Gennadievich began his career at NPO Automatiki. In December 2000, he became Head of the Department of Competitive Advantages and Investment Attractiveness of the Committee on Economics, and a few months later he became Deputy Chairman of the Committee. In May 2002, Alexander Gennadievich was appointed Chairman of the Committee.
Alexander Gennadievich is the author of many scientific papers and publications. He is one of the developers and coordinators of the Strategic Development Plan for Yekaterinburg, designed until 2025.
Alexander Gennadievich is married and has two sons. He is engaged in sports – hockey.
On June 2, 2008, Alexander Gennadievich Vysokinsky assumed his duties as Deputy Head of Yekaterinburg, and subsequently became deputy head of the Yekaterinburg City Administration.
In February 2016, by decree of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, he was appointed Deputy Prime Minister of the regional government. In this position, Alexander Gennadievich oversaw the implementation of the Greater Yekaterinburg project, the implementation of the 2030 Strategy in municipalities, as well as interaction with territories.
Since September 25, 2018, he has been the Head of Yekaterinburg.
Since December 22, 2020 - First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region.
