
Vladimir Viner
Background
He was born in Kemerovo. A public figure, he has been working in the non-governmental sector since 1987. In the late 80s of the XX century, he was the president of the Kaluga City International Friendship Club, and later a member of the Dobraya Volya Club for Assistance to Ancient Monuments and Restorers. In 1994, he graduated from Kaluga State Pedagogical University with a degree in History and Socio-political Studies, and a sociologist.
Since 1999, he has been a consultant on PR and fundraising for a number of Russian and international organizations, such as Greenpeace, CAF, Doctors Without Borders, Focus Media, ISAR, and other NGOs. In 2002, he was elected president of the National Guild of Fundraisers, co-author of the ethical code of the profession. Head of a number of Russian publishing and information projects in the field of media, design, and advertising.
In 2004, he worked as the manager of the Moscow Charitable Reserve Local Community Foundation.
From 2005 to 2008 — Director of the Entermedia agency. Advertising in an alternative reality, author and lecturer of the course “New Media” at the Higher School of Economics, then at the Russian State University of Economics.

Since 2016, he has been the curator of the program of the Center for Social Technologies Garant and the Citi Foundation "Cities of the Future", aimed at developing the centers of the cities of the future, professions in the cities of the future and elements of the urban environment of the future.

He is the author of courses, research, and books on social economics, social entrepreneurship, social advertising, and marketing. The author is the compiler of the annual catalog "Social Entrepreneurship of Russia", the book "How to create a community center".
