Background
Karen Van Cleisen was appointed Secretary General of the Polis network in September 2014, having worked for the network for 8 years as Director of Research. Prior to that, she worked as a network manager at ACCESS-Eurocities and as a project manager at the Belgian mobility management center Langzaam Verkeer. Since 1998, Karen has been involved in the development of the European urban transport network and related standards, as well as in the implementation of a number of European Union research and innovation projects related to various areas of urban mobility.
