Background

Higher education in the specialty of bridge and tunnel construction engineer. Doctor of Technical Sciences. Professor. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Railway Engineers (MIIT) in 1961. Dissertation defense year: candidate's degree - 1968, doctoral degree - 1988.

Director of the TSNIIS Tunnels and Subways branch, since 2012, Head of the Scientific and Engineering Center for Underground Space Development of Mosinzhproekt JSC and scientific director of the center of NIC Tunnel Association LLC.

He is the author of more than 200 scientific papers, including: 16 monographs, 7 copyright certificates and ~70 patents in foreign publications.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Transport.

Member of the Board of the Tunnel Association of Russia, head of the subcommittee No. 5 "Underground structures" of the Technical Committee TK400 of Rosstandart, member of the editorial boards of the magazines "Transport Construction", "Metro and tunnels", "Engineering structures".
