
Svetlana Uchaikina
Background
Svetlana Nikolaevna began her career in 1975 as the artistic director of the Rural House of Culture. In 1977, she entered the Khabarovsk State Institute of Culture. After graduating from the institute, from 1982 to 1987, she held positions from methodologist to head of the mass sector and head of the production and mass department of the Palace of Culture of Metallurgists of the Verkh-Isetsky Plant. From 1992 to 1996, she served in the Department of Culture, and was chairman of the Youth Affairs Committee of the Verkh-Isetsky District Administration. From 1996-2005, she served in the Administration of the Verkh-Isetsky district. From 2005 to 2010, S.N. Uchaikina was the head of the Yekaterinburg Puppet Theater, and since July 2010 she has been the head of the Yekaterinburg Young Spectator Theater. Since 2016, she has been appointed Minister of Culture of the Sverdlovsk Region. S.N. Uchaikina is a member of the Board of the Sverdlovsk branch of the Union of Theatrical Figures of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Theaters in the Sverdlovsk Region. In January 2015, she was elected to the Board of the Professional Guild of Theater Managers of Russia.
