
Nikolay Tsukanov
Background
Nikolai Nikolaevich Tsukanov was born on March 22, 1965 in the village of Lipovo, Gusevsky district, Kaliningrad region.
Nikolai Tsukanov began his career in 1983 as a gas-electric welder at the Micromotor plant in the Kaliningrad region.
In 1983-1985, he served in the Armed Forces, and after serving in the Soviet Army, in 1986, he became a pioneer leader in All-Russian pioneer camp "Eaglet".
Nikolai Tsukanov continued his work with young people in the following years. From 1987 to 1989, he worked in Komsomol organizations in the Zelenograd district and the city of Gusev, Kaliningrad region. Later, until 2000, he led youth enterprises in the city of Gusev, Kaliningrad region.
From 2000 to 2005, Nikolai Tsukanov worked at the Techinvestmed Scientific and Technical Center in Moscow.
Since 2005, he has held senior positions, first in the municipal and then in the civil service. Until 2010, N.Tsukanov was the head of the Gusevsky Municipal District municipality of the Kaliningrad Region, and from 2010 to 2016 he was the Governor of this region.
From 2016 to 2017, N. Tsukanov served as an authorized representative. The President in the North-Western Federal District,
On December 25, 2017, he became Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation.
On June 26, 2018, he was appointed Presidential Envoy to the Ural Federal District.
Nikolai Tsukanov graduated from the Higher School of Privatization and Entrepreneurship, holds a PhD in Psychology, and was awarded the class rank of "Full State Adviser of the Russian Federation, 1st Class."
In 2018, he was awarded the Order of Honor.
