Background

From September 2004 to April 2011, Vyacheslav Timofeev headed the Communications and Information Technology Committee of the Yekaterinburg City Administration, responsible for the development strategy and functioning of the communications industry in Yekaterinburg, interaction with telecom operators, Internet service providers, TV broadcasting operators, as well as the introduction of modern information technologies in the activities of municipal authorities.

Since 2011, Vyacheslav Timofeev has been working at Rostelecom, implementing projects related to the informatization of public authorities in the Ural Federal District and the Perm Region: creating an e-government infrastructure, converting services to electronic format, and introducing electronic interaction services. With his participation, significant IT services of an industry orientation have been implemented (for example, in medicine, education, housing and communal services, and the 112 System). Currently, projects related to energy efficiency and ensuring the safety of citizens are being successfully launched.
