
Realrich Syarif
Background
Realrich Sjarif founded RAW Architecture in 2011, which became a continuation of his workshop Realrich Architecture Workshop.
At the same time, he works for DOT Workshop, a company engaged in tectonic research, OMAH Library, a research group and a public library that houses about 1,500 books on architecture, and also holds periodic public events about modern architectural discourse. Realrich Sjarif actively teaches at several universities in Indonesia and gives public lectures.
He is the author and editor of several books together with several other authors, including: The Guild, Architectural Philosophy for Students, DancerHouse, Architectural Theory for Students, Becoming Becoming an Architect, The Secret of an Architect's Life, and others.
Together with RAW Architecture, he won several architectural competitions, including the Indonesian National Gallery Competition, the IAI Jakarta Award in 2017 with the Omah Library project, became a finalist at the WAF2018 World Architecture Festival, received the 2019 Fibra Award and the 2018 Kohler Prize for Alfa School Omega. Recently, RAW Architecture also won the "Novice Architect" nomination at the Asia Pacific Design Award 2020 (Asia Pacific Design Award 2020).
