
Background
Stanislav Vasilyevich Nikolaev was born in Moscow on February 26, 1937.
In 1955, he entered the Kuibyshev Moscow Civil Engineering Institute, from which he graduated in 1960 and was sent to the Rostock Reinforced Concrete Products Plant, where in four years he rose from an ordinary engineer to the head of the plant's design bureau.
At the invitation of the leadership of the Central Research Institute of Housing, Stanislav Vasilyevich joined this institute in 1964. With the arrival of a new twenty–seven-year-old employee at the institute, a new direction emerged - the organization and planning of factory production of large-panel structures based on the application of mathematical methods and principles of the so-called "flexible technology".
Over time, this topic has expanded to include the design of building structures. Ultimately, it became the basis of the technical policy of the Central Research Institute of Housing. Nikolayev defended his PhD thesis on this topic in 1968 and his doctoral thesis in 1982.
Stanislav Vasilyevich proved himself not only as a talented researcher, but also as an outstanding organizer and administrator. Therefore, in 1984 he was appointed head of the Department of technology, and then Deputy Director of the Institute for scientific work.
In 1985, Stanislav Vasilyevich Nikolaev was appointed General Director of TSNIIEP Housing, which he still manages. For many years, he has been the head of the scientific school of technology and organization of fully assembled and monolithic housing, including high-rise construction. He is the author of 15 inventions and more than 80 publications, the scientific supervisor of a number of successfully defended PhD and doctoral theses. Currently, standards for high-rise construction are being developed under his leadership.
A world-renowned scientist, Nikolaev is known in international scientific circles, he has made numerous presentations at scientific conferences, symposiums and seminars in many countries of the world, including Brazil and the USA.
Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Builder of Russia, full member of the Academy of Housing and Communal Services, member of the International Academy of Architecture Stanislav Vasilievich Nikolaev has grown into a major specialist, one of the leaders of modern construction science in Russia.
