Background

In 1994, she graduated from the Physics Department of the Ural Gorky State University. Since that time, she began working as a physics teacher at her native gymnasium, where she became deputy director in 2003 and director in 2008.

In 2014, Ekaterina Sibirtseva (together with the head of the Museum of the History of Gymnasium No. 9, Nelly Voronina) became the winner of the V.N. Tatishchev and G.V. de Gennin Prize in the nomination "For Merits in the field of education, culture and Art" for the implementation of the Museum Without Borders project (the museum of the history of the gymnasium as a resource center for a network of social-educational infrastructure). 

In 2016, she was appointed Head of the Department of Education of the Yekaterinburg City Administration.

On September 9, 2020, she was appointed Deputy Head of Yekaterinburg for Social Policy.
