Background

Since 2000, he has been the director of the Urgakha Museum.

Since 2005, he has been the head of the Independent Institute of the History of Material Culture. Responsible editor of more than 20 books on the history of Ural cities, the oldest enterprises of the region and the culture of the Urals, including the series "From the history of industrial culture of the Urals", "Styles in architecture of the Sverdlovsk region", etc.
