From 1982 to 2015, he worked at Military Unit 13073 (SIC 26 Central Research Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 23 GPI) in positions ranging from engineer to head of department and senior researcher, since 2010 at St. Petersburg State University – Professor of the department.
He examined more than 350 buildings and structures, of which more than 120 with an assessment of dynamic parameters and determination of earthquake resistance. He is the author of more than 120 scientific publications, including three monographs, a textbook, and three regulatory documents.
