She has been working in journalism for 20 years, and began as an editor of economic broadcasts at the Sochi State Television and Radio Company. She worked for the RBC and RIA Novosti news agencies. Then she headed the press service of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation for 2 years. She joined TASS in 2015 in the economic editorial office. Over the years, she has managed to significantly expand the editorial staff, attract well-known journalists and specialists in their fields, and train a new generation of journalists who joined TASS from universities. Currently, Lana Samarina oversees the creation of news content in the economic, cultural, scientific and social spheres, coordinates the work of the TASS regional network, as well as the topic of national projects.
