Background
Wolf D. Pricks was born in Vienna and graduated from the University of Technology there, as well as the School of the Architectural Association in London and the Architectural Institute of Southern California (SCI-Arc) in Los Angeles.
Wolf D. Pricks – Founding Partner, Design Director and CEO of COOP HIMMELB(L) BureauAU has been working in the fields of art, architecture, urban planning and design since 1968.
Wolf D. Pricks became one of the founders of the deconstructivism style.
COOP HIMMELB(L)AU has been invited eight times to participate in the Venice Architecture Biennale.
The company's projects include the buildings of the Confluence Museum in Lyon (France), the European Central Bank in Frankfurt am Main (Germany), as well as the Museum of Modern Art and the Urban Planning Exhibition in Shenzhen (China).
As Dean of the Institute of Architecture (2003-2012) and Professor of Architecture and Head of Studio Prix (1990-2011) at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, he set international standards in the education of architects.
