Background

Popov A.V. conducts scientific work on the development of the scientific foundations of modern technology for the energy use of solid fuels in the combined-cycle gas cycle and the rational use of local thermal power plants. These studies have been repeatedly provided with scientific grants and contractual topics. The inventions are protected by two patents for invention and utility model.

Since 2008, Popov A.V. has been a qualified energy auditor, thermographer of the II qualification level for non-destructive testing of the thermal method (certificate No. 03-00-8916). During his work, he conducted dozens of surveys of objects of regional significance and more than 30 standard budgetary institutions.

In 2012, Popov A.V. was the responsible executor of the pilot project "Development of a system of measures to ensure the reliability of heat supply systems in municipalities of the Sverdlovsk region." Subsequently, the implementation made it possible to reduce the loss of fuel and energy resources in these urban districts by 70% and, accordingly, reduce the burden on the budget of the Sverdlovsk region.

Popov A.V. is one of the initiators and organizers of the creation of the Association of State Institutions of the Subjects of the Russian Federation in the field of energy conservation and Energy Efficiency Improvement, which includes more than 20 subjects of the Russian Federation.

In December 2015, he spoke at the National Congress "Modern Approaches to Modernization and management of housing and Communal services in Russia." This project was recognized, which made it possible to become an expert on energy conservation at the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation in 2016.

Popov A.V. is the curator of the Sverdlovsk Region project on the development and implementation of a Regional information and analytical system in the field of energy conservation "Resource Conservation Matrix". The projects are annually ranked among the best projects in Russia.

He is actively engaged in the promotion of energy conservation in the Sverdlovsk region and beyond, in the subjects of the Russian Federation and in neighboring countries.
