Nikolay Ostrovsky

Background

He graduated from Moscow State Mining University. He started his career at Tunnel-2001 LLC at the tunnel site. Since 2015, he has been working at Mosinzhproekt JSC, starting as a Category 1 engineer and continuing to work as head of the mechanized tunneling department, overseeing and coordinating tunneling operations using TPMC throughout Moscow. Under his leadership, a total of 117 km of tunnels were completed using 10-by-6-meter diameter tunnel boring systems, AVN shields, and VSM vertical shaft tunneling. In 2019, he was awarded the title of Engineer of the Year of the Russian Federation. The winner of the S. N. Vlasov competition "Engineer of the Year of the Tunnel Association of Russia-2019" in the nomination - Construction of subways in the Russian Federation.
