Background

In 1992, he graduated from the Omsk Order of Lenin Agricultural Institute named after S.M. Kirov, specialty "economist-organizer of agricultural production."

In 1994, he received secondary specialized education at the Tyumen Higher School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

In 2008-2009, he completed professional retraining at the Russian Presidential Academy of Public Administration in the field of Public and Municipal Administration.

From 1999 to 2003, he served in the federal tax police of the Russian Federation.

From 2003 to 2005, he served in the internal affairs bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

In 2005-2007 - Acting First Deputy head of the city of Tobolsk, First Deputy Head of the city of Tobolsk, First Deputy Head of the administration of the city of Tobolsk.

In 2007-2009 – Deputy Head of the Tyumen City Administration.

In 2010-2012, he was Deputy Head of the Department of the Federal Agency for the Cadastre of Real Estate in the Leningrad Region, Head of the Department of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography in the Leningrad Region.

In 2012-2014, he was Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region.

In 2014-2016, he was First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region and Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region.

Since November 2016, he has been the First Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region.

On February 9, 2021, Alexey Orlov was elected Head of Yekaterinburg.
