Olga Pavlenko

Background

Doctor of Physico-Mathematical Sciences, graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. 

He has been working on the problems of soil behavior during earthquakes since 2000 in collaboration with Japanese and Taiwanese seismologists (Disaster Prevention Research Institute DPRI of Kyoto University, Japan, National Center for Research in Earthquake Engineering NCREE, Taipei, Taiwan). 

Since 2019, he has been the Head of Laboratory 306 of Engineering Seismology and Interpretation of Seismic Observations at the Institute of Physics and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. 

The main areas of scientific research are the study of the characteristics of radiation and propagation of seismic waves in the regions of the Russian Federation based on recordings of local earthquakes for reliable estimates of seismic hazard, modeling accelerograms of strong movements.
