Background

• 1977-92 – worked at state design institutes.
• 1992 – founded a personal creative workshop.
• 1994 - 2003 – Chairman of the Committee for State Control, Use and Protection of Monuments of St. Petersburg.
• Since 2003 – Head of the Architectural Bureau "Studio 44".

Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of literature and art (1998).

Winner of the Crystal Dedalus Prize (2001, 2004, 2012) and the Vladimir Tatlin Prize (2011, 2014).

Full member of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences.

Professor at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts.

He is the author (with co-authors) of more than 100 projects, a third of them have been implemented.
