
Farshad Mehdizade
Background
Farshad Mehdizadeh was born in Isfahan, Iran. In 2008, he received his bachelor's and Master's degrees from Azad University in Isfahan.
Farshad began his professional career as an architect at the Fluid Motion Studio in Tehran. He later worked at the studio Lab Architecture in Melbourne, Australia. Farshad has also developed award-winning personal projects, namely his Abadan residential building, which won first prize at the National Me'mar Award in Iran and received high recognition from Middle East awards.
Farshad completed his second master's degree at the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona, Spain, after which he returned to Iran and founded his own company, Tehran Architecture Studio.
Since 2007, Farshad has been conducting academic work as a guest lecturer, as well as participating in international seminars, collaborating with architectural institutes around the world. He currently teaches at the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Melbourne.
Farshad's work focuses on the geographical context and the influence of geography on architecture in general.
