
Hiroki Matsuura
Background
Hiroki Matsuura was born, raised and educated in Japan. He gained professional development in the Netherlands.
Since the summer of 2018, Hiroki has founded MADMA urbanism+landscape. MADMA is a subsidiary of MAXWAN's international department, where Hiroki Matsuura mainly worked (as a partner/lead designer at MAXWAN since 2004). In particular, the result of this work has been the last 10 years of active activity in Russia.
Hiroki was responsible for the development of MAXWAN's international business and regularly lectured around the world. Hiroki has a practical mentality; he is direct, but informal, and open to collaboration. He is the chief designer of the Skolkovo Gardens (50 hectares of Skolkovo Park) in Moscow. He is currently a member of the City Council of the Skolkovo Foundation.
In 2015, Hiroki created MASA architects together with Rene Sanger.
MASA architects is a subsidiary of MAXWAN. MASA specializes in architecture, interiors, and design.
Hiroki teaches and lectures at the Academy of Architecture in Amsterdam, the Rotterdam Academy of Architecture and Urban Design, the Delft University of Technology and is a visiting professor at MARSH (Moscow School of Architecture).
