
Background
From 2005 to 2008, he was the publisher and editor-in-chief of ARX, a popular urban planning, development and architecture magazine. Current member of the Moscow City Architectural Council, member of the jury of the international World Architecture Festival competition for the last 10 years, co-chairman of the Eurasian branch of the World Urban Parks Association.
Previously, he was a member of the Moscow City Art Council (2017-2018), Chairman of the Commission on Urban Planning, Architecture and Construction of the Moscow Public Chamber of the Second Convocation (2016-2019), a member of the jury of international awards such as the competition for experimental sites for the Renovation of Moscow housing (2017) and Emerging architects in China (2019). He was awarded letters of appreciation from the Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia (2018), the Mayor of Moscow (2018 and 2020).
In 2012, he founded Citymakers, a company specializing in urban planning, socio-cultural programming, conducting architectural competitions for the public and private sectors, creating concepts for the development of urban areas and public spaces, as well as educational projects.
In recent years, Citymakers, under the leadership of Peter, has implemented a number of large and significant projects for Russia.:
- development of the Zaryadye Park concept in the consortium of Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Hargreaves Associates
- development of the concept of the Yandex headquarters in Moscow in the PLP Architecture consortium
- development of a territorial development program and organization of a competition for the development of the concept of the National Center of Physics and Mathematics for Rosatom near Sarov
- development of a unified standard for the development of protected areas in Russia for the Agency for Strategic Initiatives
- development of a redevelopment strategy for the ZIL-Yug territory in Moscow
- development of a redevelopment strategy for a large historical complex in Moscow, Elektrozavod
- development of concepts of socio-cultural programming and development of three large Moscow parks
- the concept of transformation of the historical center of Saratov
Citymakers has organized and conducted a number of major global architectural competitions: the competition for the development of the concept of the K31 residential complex in Moscow (winner UNStudio (Netherlands), the concept of the park in Baku, Azerbaijan (winner Martha Schwartz and Partners, (UK), the concept of the residential complex MAZD in Moscow (winner ODA (USA), the concept of the educational center Letovo in Moscow (winner of Atelier Pro (Netherlands) + Druzhba Bureau (Russia). Finally, Citymakers became one of the authors of the international program for the dialogue of architects from all over the world. Architects from Japan, the USA, the Netherlands, France, Denmark and many other countries took part in the events organized by Citymakers. These are the Park Lab program for Zaryadye Park, the World Urban Parks International Congress in Kazan, the Open City and many others.
