
Kiyokazu Arai
Background
He graduated from Keio University of Tokyo and the Southern California Institute of Architecture in Los Angeles (SCI-Arc). Ph.D.
In 1991, he founded his own office in Tokyo, Arai Architects.
In addition, he is actively engaged in teaching activities.:
1992-2006 He taught at Gakuin University in Kanto, as well as at Shibaura Technical University.
Since 1999, he has been a professor at the Department of Architecture at Seika University in Kyoto. Since 2012, he has been its Vice-President.
ARAI ARCHITECTS was founded in Tokyo in 1991 by architect Kiyokazu Arai. A branch of the workshop in Kyoto is also open now.
The most famous completed projects:
- Crawford House Hotel (Santa Barbara, California);
- The Master Plan of the Dalian Medical University Project (China);
- Zhangjiajie County Hotel Complex (China);
- Urban planning plan of the central district of the city of Suzhou (China);
- Akbuzat Racetrack (Ufa, Bashkortostan);
- Congress Hall (Ufa, Bashkortostan);
- The International Business Center in Yerevan (Armenia).
