
Evgeniy Kiryukhantsev
Background
Major General of the Internal Service, Candidate of Technical Sciences (1998), Associate Professor (1999). He graduated from the Leningrad Fire Technical College of the Ministry of Defense of the RSFSR (1965), and the Kuibyshev Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering (1972). In 1989 he graduated from the Academy of the USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs.
From 1980 to 1996, he worked in the GUPO of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR (GUGPS of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia), as heads of departments (regulatory and technical, state fire supervision, service and training department), Deputy head of the Main Directorate.
From 1996 to 2000, Kiryukhantsev E.E. was the head of the Moscow Institute of Fire Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
An experienced manager and a highly qualified firefighting specialist. One of the authors of the Federal Law of the Russian Federation "On Fire safety", a system of fire safety regulation.
He has over 250 publications and scientific developments in the field of fire safety. In the mid-90s, he was Vice–president of the International Technical Committee for Fire Prevention and Extinguishing (CTIF).
Participant in the aftermath of the Armenian earthquake and the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident (1986). Honored Worker of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, veteran of labor. He was awarded the Order of Courage, 15 medals of the USSR and Russia, and many other awards.
