Kapustin Fyodor Leonidovich, Dean of the Faculty of Building Materials Science, UrFU

In 1981, he graduated from the Faculty of Silicate Technology of the Kirov Moscow State Institute of Physics and Technology with a degree in Chemical Technology of Binders. Until 1983, he worked as an engineer at the silicate problem laboratory, then for two years he became an assistant at the Department of Cement Technology, and later as a graduate student.

In 1989, he defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences and became a researcher. Until 1992, he was an associate professor at the Department of Cement Technology, then he was elected Dean of the Faculty of Building Materials Science. Since 2000 – Professor, since 2001 – Head of the Department of Materials Science in Construction. In 2003, he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. The scientific work is related to the development of theoretical and technological foundations for the production of efficient building materials and products using ash and slag waste from thermal power engineering. He is the author of 2 monographs, 5 textbooks, more than 170 scientific and educational works, 9 copyright certificates and patents for inventions.

Member of the scientific and methodological councils of the UMO for Construction Education and the UMO for Chemical Technology Education under the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Scientific and Technical Council of the Ministry of Construction and Housing of the Sverdlovsk region, the Presidium of the Union of Construction Industry Enterprises of the Sverdlovsk region, Deputy Chairman of the Ural branch of the Association of Construction Universities of the Russian Federation. Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor. Honorary graduate of UGTU-UPI. Honorary Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation. Honorary builder. He was awarded the silver and bronze medals of VDNH, the medal "100 years of trade unions of Russia".
