Jiang Shujie was born in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China, in 1964. Prior to joining the Shanghai Government in 2008, he worked for a long time as an assistant to the General Director of the Shanghai Construction Group, where he gained extensive experience in construction management.
Today, he oversees the construction of the largest engineering structures in Shanghai, including Shanghaitower and Shanghaidisneyland. Jiang Shujie is also responsible for urban planning and territorial development, with the construction of infrastructure facilities for large settlements and the development of infrastructure for the Huangpu River. In addition, Mr. Jiang heads the Department of Technical Reserves of Shanghai City Construction.
