Background

Oleg Borisovich Izvekov is one of the largest Russian experts in the field of urban digitalization and the creation of Smart cities. Under his leadership, the Smart City solutions were applied and tested by Rostelecom in Satka (Chelyabinsk region). It was Satka that became the pilot city of the Smart City project in Russia, and its successful digitalization experience made it possible to launch the implementation of a whole range of smart solutions. Currently, the Smart City project segments are widely used in the Ural Federal District and can significantly improve the urban environment and save budget funds through the introduction of modern technologies.

Since 2007, Oleg Borisovich has been working in the telecommunications industry: he led the Tele2 commercial segment in Verkhny Novgorod, held the position of MTS Commercial Director in the Sverdlovsk Region, and MTS Sales Director in the Urals. He was the commercial director of Rostelecom in the Chelyabinsk region.

Since 2018, Oleg Borisovich has been appointed director of the Smart City project of PJSC Rostelecom in the Urals.
