Background

In 1998, he graduated with a Master's degree in economic Geography from the University of Helsinki, and later (in 2001) He also received a bachelor's degree in philosophy there.

Antti Jussi has held various research positions at the University of Helsinki (Faculty of Geography, Alexander Institute), the Helsinki Graduate School of Economics and MIPSA. In 2004, he became an attache at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland. Then Antti Jussi worked as the second secretary of the Trade and Economic Department of the Finnish Embassy in Moscow from 2005 to 2008.

Since 2008, he has become an advisor, East Office at the representative office of the Finnish Industry. From 2010 to 2013, he worked his way up from Deputy to Head of the Planning and Research Department (Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland). Then, until 2016, he worked at the Permanent Mission of Finland to the EU as an Adviser./Representative to the Committee on Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Council of the European Union (COEST). From 2016 to 2019, he was Minister Plenipotentiary and Charge d'affaires of the Finnish Embassy in Moscow. Then he spent a year as the head of the secretariat of the host country in XLIII Advisory Meeting on the Antarctic Treaty, Department of Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Since 2020, he has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Finland to the Russian Federation, the Embassy of Finland in Moscow, Russia.
