Background

In 1964, he graduated from the Novosibirsk Civil Engineering Institute with a degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering.

In 1965, he was hired at the Novosibirsk Civil Engineering Institute as an assistant at the Department of Structural Mechanics. In 1972, he completed postgraduate studies at the department with a successful defense of his PhD thesis. In 1973, he received the academic title of associate professor. From 1987 to 1990, he worked as a senior researcher at the Department of Structural Mechanics to complete his doctoral thesis, which he successfully defended in 1990 with the award of the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences. In 1991, he was elected head of the Department of Structural Mechanics, received the academic title of Professor and still works as Head of the Department of Structural Mechanics at Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (Sibstrin).
