Alfred Gottman

Background

Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor.

In 1976, he graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Ufa Petroleum Institute and received a degree in civil engineering. From 1972 to 2015, he worked at the Scientific Research Institute (NIIPromstroy) in Moscow. Ufa, the last 13 years in office - Deputy Director of Science.

In 1982, he completed postgraduate studies at the N.M. Gersevanov National Research Institute of Applied Sciences and defended his PhD thesis. In 1995 he defended his doctoral thesis and then received the academic title of professor.

All scientific activity is devoted to the study of piles and pile foundations and the development of methods for calculating them for vertical and horizontal loads.

Under his scientific supervision, 6 candidate's and one doctoral dissertation were defended.

He has published more than 230 scientific papers in Russian and international scientific publications, including 11 inventions and three monographs.

He is the Vice-President of the Russian Society for Soil Mechanics, Geotechnics and Foundation Engineering.
