Andrey Gnezdilov

Background

After graduating from the Moscow Art Institute in 1980, he worked at the Giprotsvetmet Design Institute. Since 1983, he has been the head of the group of architects at the Mosgrazhdanproekt Design Institute. academician V. A. Vesnin. Since the foundation of the Ostozhenka Bureau in 1989, he has been working on a feasibility study for the comprehensive reconstruction of the Ostozhenka microdistrict in the center of Moscow as part of the MArhI Research and Design Center. Since 1990, he has been Deputy Director of the Ostozhenka Research Institute. 2013 – 2015 – Chief architect of the State Unitary Enterprise "NIiPI of the General Plan of Moscow".

He developed urban planning concepts for Moscow, Samara, Ufa, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Irkutsk, Sevastopol, and participated in a 2012 study as part of a competition for a concept for the development of the Moscow metropolitan area.
