Background

Jacqueline Gibson was born in West Africa, where she became familiar with the work of wildlife and agricultural organizations at an early age, after which she devoted her career to sustainable development issues.

She has worked with major construction companies across the UK, receiving awards for the most environmentally friendly construction projects in the UK and recognition for socially-oriented civil engineering projects.

In recent years, she has worked with HSBC, Water Aid, WWF and Manchester United FC. As part of her work with Blenheim Palace, Jacqueline Gibson received the Green Tourism Award and also helped Blenheim Palace reduce carbon emissions by developing its own renewable energy sources. Since July 2020, she has also been working as a sustainability advisor at Belfast Harbour and aims to make it the greenest multimodal port in the world. This is the first port in the UK or Ireland to introduce such a position to its staff. Jacqueline develops a sustainable development strategy and implements actions to implement it in 6 key areas, including "green" construction.
