
Federico Parolotto
Background
Federico Parolotto is a senior partner at MIC - Mobility in Chain, which he co-founded with David Boazzi and Federico Cassani in 2009.
Participated in the planning of transportation systems in many major cities around the world, working as consultants for Foster + Partners, KPF, OMA and a number of other international companies. He acted as a consultant on the draft amendments to the general plan of Moscow.
In 2011, he became a co–founder of Flow, a MIC research group.
Since 2013, Federico has been collaborating with the AUDI research group on projects to create innovative self-driving cars and manned parking lots.
He has spoken at numerous international events, including the Greenbuild Conference (Boston), Ecological Urbanism (Harvard University, Cambridge) in 2009; the Helsinki Design Laboratory in 2010; the World Urban Forum in Naples and Connectivity Ideas in Stuttgart in 2012, Metropolis and Mobile Life in Toronto in 2013: The City by the numbers: Big Data and the Urban Future for Pratt University in New York in 2015; in 2015, he was one of the speakers at the Barcelona Smart City event.
He has lectured at several international universities, including the Strelka Institute in Moscow. He is one of the co–authors of the book “City thinking - Creativity, Mobility and Urban Quality”, published by Quodlibet in 2015.
Since 2014, he has been the curator of the TheCitPlan column for the architectural magazine ThePlan, which studies the evolution of the city.
