Background
A world-renowned Dutch architect with more than 30 years of successful work under his belt.
Founder and General Director of his own architectural workshop (designed by) Erik van Egeraat with offices in Rotterdam, Moscow, Budapest, London and Prague.
According to his projects, about 100 facilities have been built in more than 10 countries around the world.
These objects have a recognizable author's handwriting, but do not belong to a specific style, although some critics attribute them to the Modern Baroque. He is known for the designs of ING Bank's Headquarters in Budapest, the Drenthe Museum in Assen, the Roskilde Incinerator, and the Main University Building in Leipzig. In Russia, he gained fame as the creator of the "City of Capitals" in Moscow City, the author of the Red October building concept, the winner of the competition for the design of the new Dynamo stadium, and the general designer of Sberbank Corporate University. His Russian projects have been awarded numerous prizes, including House of the Year ’2011 for the Chess Academy in Khanty-Mansiysk, House of the Year ’2012 and Zolotaya Kapitel ’2012 for the Vershina shopping Center in Surgut and the European Property Award ‘2013 for the Mercury City Tower in Moscow.
