Graduated in 1984 from the Technical University of Bucharest (UTCB), Doctor of Sciences (PhD).

Key qualification: civil engineer.

Lecturer, researcher, design engineer, project expert.

The main directions of scientific activity:

• static and dynamic analysis to assess the stability and safety of buildings and hydraulic structures;
• numerical modeling of various building structures for static and dynamic analysis: buildings, dams, underground structures;
• technical expertise of building structures;
• reconstruction of structures.

Subjects of study (1990 - 2017) at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels:

• the finite element method used in civil engineering
• building structures
• Seismology
• computer-aided design (CAD)
• hydraulic structures

International cooperation experience:

The representative of UTCB in the European Association EUCEET in the period from 1999 to 2010, was the vice-chairman and chairman of the working groups.

Director of the Department of International Relations at UTCB University since February 2011.
