Background

Mr. Bora Okumushoglu received his first degree in civil engineering from Istanbul Technical University, where he also received a Master's degree for his research on stress distribution and precipitation of elastoplasts in shallow foundations.

Then Mr. Bora Okumushoglu moved into construction, where he worked as a consultant and contractor for more than ten years. During this time, he acted as both a designer and a construction supervisor in various projects of underground and high-rise structures in Japan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Ukraine and Russia. Specializing in unloading systems for deep excavation in underground construction and deep foundation systems in the construction of high-rise buildings, he has published a number of papers in the specialized literature, and some of them have been presented by him at international conferences.

In February 2015, Mr. Bora Okumushoglu, Dr. Devon Mozercil, Dr. Racine Duzzir, Ph.D., and Mr. Alp Gokalp published a joint scientific article "Support for excavation to a depth of 25 meters using ground anchors in Russia" in the prestigious journal "Geotechnical Engineering Journal of the Institute of Civil Engineers.
