Background

Alex Bitus graduated as a Civil Engineer in 1997, and later as an Architect. Since 2002, he began his professional career in London as a senior designer. Prior to founding Twelve Architects in 2012, Alex participated in the design of the competition-winning Lakhta Center project in St. Petersburg (Russia) at Tony Kettle's studio, as well as on the design of transport terminals at Steels West and Finch West in Toronto (Canada) at the studio of Will Alsop. Later, he participated in the design of the Waterfalls multipurpose complex project in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia).

Alex is actively involved in all his projects, from concept development to project implementation and author supervision, combining in-depth knowledge of technical documentation with a passion for conceptual design.

Recently, Alex has been leading the winning competitive projects: Platov Airport in Rostov-on-Don, airport in Novy Urengoy and the shopping and entertainment center in Perm.
